Allegiant to ring Nasdaq closing bell

Representatives from Las Vegas-based Allegiant Travel Co. will celebrate the company’s initial public offering by presiding over Nasdaq’s closing bell on Jan. 31.

The event will take place at 2:45 p.m. Central Standard Time in New York City. Allegiant President, CEO and chairman Maurice J. Gallagher Jr., the company’s executive management team and several pilots and flight attendants will participate.

Allegiant, which announced its IPO in November, offers flights between Springfield-Branson National Airport and Las Vegas, Orlando, Fla., and Tampa/St. Petersburg, Fla.

Shares (Nasdaq: ALGT) began trading Dec. 8 and closed that day at $25.10. The price has since risen nearly $7, closing Thursday at $31.98.[[In-content Ad]]
