Allegiant Airlines has temporarily suspended its flights between Springfield-Branson National Airport and Los Angeles International Airport. SGF officials expect a six-month hiatus.
The service to Los Angeles was suspended Jan. 14 and is expected to return June 7, according to the SGF
blog.
When Allegiant announced it would suspend the service in
November, SGF spokesman Kent Boyd said Allegiant was suspending flights countrywide between LAX and other airports, due to operational issues, construction and shortages in gates and tickets counters at the Los Angeles airport. According to the blog post, Allegiant and LAX have worked out the issues and the airline is committed to bringing flights back to the airport.
In the meantime, SGF's three other carriers - American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Air Lines - all offer less direct routes to Los Angeles.[[In-content Ad]]
