The Las Vegas-based airline will add service to Las Vegas on Tuesdays Feb. 27–April 3, making it a five-day-a-week service. Flights will depart Springfield-Branson National Airport at 7:50 p.m.
Officials say the expanded service is in response to passenger demand – the low-cost carrier has seen a steady increase in passengers at Springfield since debuting in April 2005 and logged more than 31,000 enplanements there in the first 10 months of 2006.
“We are pleased with the performance of the Springfield-Branson market,” said Maurice J. Gallagher, the airline’s president and CEO, in a news release. “We are confident this new schedule will have great appeal.”
Allegiant also has offered flights between Springfield and Orlando since October 2005 and began service to Tampa Bay this week.
