Alleged Bitcoin millionaire Nakamoto gets $28K in donations

Posted online
Nobody knows for sure who created the virtual currency exchange Bitcoin, but last week Newsweek magazine reported Dorian S. Nakamoto, a 64-year-old physicist, was the currency creator.

Nakamoto denied the report, but that didn't stop paparazzi from chasing him through the streets of Los Angeles. Bloomberg reports Bitcoin supporters expressed outrage at what they saw as a violation of his privacy and further evidence of news media bias against the nascent digital currency.

In support, about $28,000 btc was donated to Nakomoto.

Bloomberg reports a wallet address set up by Andreas Antonopoulos, chief security officer for BlockChainInfo.com, received more than 1,800 payments, amounting to about 44 bitcoins.
