The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce today awarded All About Trees LLC with its 2015 Small Business Award.

The honor was presented during a luncheon at Ramada Plaza Hotel and Oasis Convention Center.

Owned by Noel Boyer, All About Trees employs 11 and posted 2014 revenue of $925,000 offering pruning, trimming, removal, planting and other services in a 20-mile radius around Springfield. Boyer purchased the company in 2005 from founders Matt and Melanie Ashby, who started the company in 1993 as A&A Tree Service.

Business has climbed from $150,000 in sales during Boyer’s first year of ownership to an expected $1 million this year.

Boyer attributes All About Trees’ climbing profits to his staff and the company’s detail-oriented approach. Boyer, who has 20 years of experience as an arborist, performs a walkthrough with the client to outline the entire project.

“We are very detailed,” he said. “We say exactly what we’re going to do, and then we do it. It’s not rocket science.”

Other finalists were:
  • Community Partnership of the Ozarks Inc.;
  • Dake Wells Architecture Inc.;
  • Layer 3 Technology; and
  • People Centric Consulting Group.
