The Alice L. Walton Foundation announced the purchase of 100 acres in Bentonville, Arkansas, for a planned health care campus.
The site, which would house a health care campus and two cardiac care centers, is roughly 2 miles east of downtown Bentonville.
The foundation last year announced a partnership with Heartland Whole Heath Institute and the Mercy health system to launch a 30-year, $700 million affiliation agreement. The Cleveland Clinic also is involved.
