Alibaba unit sweetens offer for MoneyGram

Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd. unit Ant Financial Services Group has upped its bid for U.S. money-transfer firm MoneyGram International Inc.

The bid of $1.2 billion tops a $955 million offer from U.S. payments processor Euronet Worldwide Inc.

Ant originally offered $880 million in January.
