Alibaba stock jumps in Hong Kong debut

Chinese e-commerce firm Alibaba's stock had an impressive showing in its Hong Kong debut.

The stock rose nearly 7%, ending at $23.97 per share on the first day of trading.

The company's secondary listing could raise as much as $12.9 billion. That would make it the largest public offering so far this year.
