While the economy was struggling between 2009 and 2011, AOS grew dramatically in response to advances in technology, both locally and region-wide. In just two years, the number of employees at the computer networking company increased from 181 to 331, and has since grown to 460 with no signs of slowing down. Since opening their doors in Springfield in 2006, AOS has become known for their consulting, design, implementation and support services for local, wide area and wireless networking, communication and collaboration, data center, physical and information security solutions.

As the Midwest’s leading technology solutions provider, AOS partners with its customers to align their specific business objectives with the right technologies to meet their goals, while maximizing effectiveness, improving customer satisfaction and increasing profitability. Having built a foundation on their proven approach for success, AOS makes sure each client has their implementations on time, in scope, and on budget — and that the outcome is nothing short of a quality solution that meets the customer’s pre-established objectives.

“AOS believes local is always best. That means local support, local service, local expertise,” Sales Vice President Tom Boehmer said. “In the digital age, it is easy to provide availability in a virtual sense. We are a brick and mortar company, and we invest in on-site engineers for every city that we serve.”

Providing clients with their expertise and experience, AOS has proven to be the ideal partner for small and medium-sized businesses, and companies lacking the time, expertise, staff or tools necessary to enhance their day-to-day operations with technology. Heavily invested in new and emerging technologies, AOS continues to expand their product and service offerings, while maintaining high-level expertise in Cisco, EMC and VMware technologies — as evidenced by their designations as a Cisco Gold Partner & Cisco Triple Masters Certifications; Cisco 2014 Commercial Partner of the Year & 2014 “Rise to the Top!” Recognition for Outstanding Partner Support Service Sales Performance; an EMC National Business Partner & seven-time EMC Partner Services Quality Award winner (2007-2013); a VMware Premier Partner and Microsoft Gold Partner, as well as the recognition as a 2014 CRN Magazine Top 100 National Solution Provider (#94/500).

Specializing in architecting, implementing and supporting an expansive portfolio of solutions, Region President Brad Ellingsworth pointed out how in every relationship, AOS operates with the goal to see their customers succeed.

“We operate with the trust and integrity it takes to build long-standing partnerships, and not one-time transactions,” Ellingsworth said. “Our local employees are part of this community — serving as volunteers, coaches, board and chapter members and professionals. We are heavily invested in them and in the greater Springfield area.”
