Kroger and Albertsons have temporarily pressed pause on their proposed $25 billion merger amid legal and regulatory challenges.
The merger is being put on hold as a lawsuit filed in Colorado is completed.
"Today's decision is welcome news as it eliminates the need for a preliminary injunction hearing in Colorado that was previously scheduled to begin Aug. 12," a Kroger spokesperson said in a statement to Fox Business.
