Alaskans debate opening of homeless campus

A heated debate is rising as Anchorage residents discuss whether to build a 66-acre campus for the homeless in the most populous city in Alaska.

Dubbed Raspberry Court, the campus would be alcohol- and drug-free and serve as a transitionary space for the homeless, Al Jazeera reports.

Those opposed say the campus would have a negative effect on the surrounding areas.
