Alabama UPS shooting results in two supervisors killed

Two longtime UPS employees were killed in a shooting at a package-processing plant in Alabama yesterday.

Brian Callans, 46, a business manager from Birmingham, Ala., and Doug Hutcheson, 33, a driver supervisor from Odenville, Ala., were the men killed. Callans, a 26-year UPS veteran, was supposed to be on vacation but had stopped by work to check on his replacement. He was married and had two children, according to The Associated Press.

Police identified Kerry Joe Tesney, 45, as the killer. Tesney, who had worked at UPS for 21 years, was recently fired. He entered his former workplace and killed Callans and Hutcheson before taking his own life.
