McCauley and husband Jerry started Aire-Master in 1958. The odor control and commercial hygiene business with headquarters at 1821 N. Highway CC now boasts more than 70 franchise locations. In the company’s earlier years, McCauley was responsible for building design and served as hospitality coordinator, according to her obituary.
The couple spent their retirement traveling between their homes in Oregon and Missouri, according to the release. Aire-Master in June celebrated its 50th anniversary with a banquet, which the McCauleys attended via Web camera.
McCauley is survived by her husband; daughter Patty Kilgore of Depoe Bay, Ore.; daughter Carol Bosserman of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; son Douglas McCauley of Springfield, who was promoted to Aire-Master CEO and vice-chairman last year; sister Betty Matteson of Jefferson City; and granddaughter Larisa Bosserman of Brooklyn Park.
