Airline pioneer Bill Franke placed an order worth $49.5 billion for 430 Airbus A320neo-family jets.
The jets will be used for four airlines that Franke's Indigo Partners investment company has stakes in. They are U.S. company Frontier Airlines, Mexico’s Volaris, Chilean carrier JetSmart and Hungary's Wizz.
The deal is expected to close by the end of the year, according to Reuters.
