Posted online
A 25-year-old black man this week filed suit against Airbnb over alleged discriminatory housing practices.

Gregory Selden, who filed the complaint in Washington, D.C., claims an Airbnb host denied his housing reqest when he used his personal profile that included a photo. He claims the host accepted the booking when he applied using two fake profiles of white men.

In the suit, Selden alleges Airbnb ignored his claims.

The suit seeks class-action status.

An Airbnb spokesman said the company is against discrimination.

"While we do not comment on pending litigation, we strongly believe that racial discrimination is unacceptable and it flies in the face of our mission to bring people together," Nick Papas said in a statement.
