Airbag maker Takata to file for bankruptcy

Japan's Takata Corp. is poised to file for bankruptcy in the wake of its airbag inflators being recalled and blamed for deaths, sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.

The company also is discussing a restructuring plan that would include ceasing production of airbag inflators, the sources say.

One source said existing contracts would likely end around 2020.
