AirAsia flight to Singapore missing

An AirAsia Indonesia airliner flying from Indonesia to Singapore with 162 people on board has gone missing.

Flight QZ8501 was supposed to arrive early this morning.

According to BBC News, no bad weather was reported in the area. A search is ongoing.

USA Today reports search crew spotted oily spots and objects in the sea today, but it was too early to know whether either was connected to the missing aircraft.
