AIG could lose $3B from hurricanes

American International Group yesterday disclosed estimates that its third-quarter hurricane losses could be up to $3.1 billion.

The loss estimates that are net of reinsurance could fall to $1.9 billion-$2 billion after tax.

At $1.2 to $1.2 billion, Hurricane Harvey did the most damage to the company's bottom line.
