"The biggest challenge this project presented was to develop and implement a design which reflected Bass Pro Shops' image, while keeping much of the construction of the existing upscale department store intact.

"This kind of project redevelopment of an existing department store puts Bass Pro Shops in position to have lower initial capital expenses, get into the market quicker and (be) in an established shopping district."
