Agrium, Potash to merge into $36B company

Canada's Agrium Inc. and Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc. agreed to merge into a fertilizer and farm retailing giant valued at $36 billion.

Potash shareholders would own 52 percent of the combined company, with Agrium shareholders taking the rest.

The deal is expected to close in mid-2017.
