Posted online

The Associated General Contractors of Missouri is a construction organization representing heavy, highway and municipal-utility contractors, according to the Missouri association's Web site, www.agcmo.org. Founded in 1925, AGC of Missouri represents the interests of Missouri contractors, speaking with a unified voice to the governor, state legislature and state agencies on matters of public policy affecting the industry.

AGC provides services to its members to help them improve and excel in day-to-day operations. Membership in AGC of Missouri allows members access to other state and national groups, most importantly AGC of America.

To keep contractors informed about new government rules and regulations, safety and health issues, labor trends and pending legislation, AGC issues regular publications to all members. The association publishes information regarding the Missouri highway lettings. Members are updated with Labor Bulletins, Legislative Bulletins, Insurance Bulletins, Tax Bulletins and Crime Alert Bulletins.

In-depth information is offered to the membership through professional training in partnering, metric, safety, total quality management and supervisory training programs.

The purpose of the Associated General Contractors of Missouri, as stated on its Web site, is:

To promote skill, responsibility and integrity within the Missouri construction industry.
