Springfield Business Journal food critics Paul and Kay Logsdon visited 21 restaurants in 24 days, dropping $225 on a cashew chicken excursion.

Their mission: Find the best Springfield-style cashew chicken.

And at the end of the Chinese food marathon, they can definitively say that cashew chicken is not created equal.

The Logsdons categorized the restaurants into high-end eateries, midrange family restaurants and inexpensive spots. They narrowed their search to only those in Springfield that offered sit-down dining.
