The event will be 1–5 p.m. at Hawthorn Park Hotel, 2431 N. Glenstone Ave. It is one of six across the state scheduled through April.
“Every company, large or small, should have an affirmative action plan; it’s essential to operating a business,” AIM President Gary Marble said in a news release. “What many employers fail to take into account is that affirmative action compliance obligations do not end with the annual drafting of their affirmative action plans, and that additional action is necessary to implement their written plans.”
The workshop will outline implementing an affirmative action program and will provide useful tools, samples and resources. Topics to be covered include disseminating a program and proper documentation.
Constangy, Brooks & Smith affirmative action specialist Lisa Schwartzkopf, of Kansas City, will conduct the workshop.
Cost to attend is $175 for AIM members, and $150 for additional attendees from the same company; and $225 for nonmembers, and $200 for additional attendees from nonmember companies. To register or learn about the other five workshops, visit www.aimo.com or call (573) 634-2246.
