Aetna scraps Obamacare expansion plans

Aetna intends to withdraw plans to expand its Obamacare business next year.

Health insurers reportedly have lost money in their business offerings under the Affordable Care Act.

It also announced the sale of some Medicare Advantage assets to get an antitrust nod for its takeover of Humana.

Molina Healthcare Inc. agreed to buy from Aetna and Humana a portfolio of 290,000 Medicare Advantage members in 21 states for $117 million.
