Estimated cost: $4.2 million

Description: Great River is the structural and civil engineer for Crowder College's 20,000-square-foot Health and Life Sciences Center. Creative Ink Architects LLC designed the facility, and Colvin Jones Davis LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. The classroom and office building will have a Federal Emergency Management Agency storm shelter to accommodate 3,000 people. The building will have an intermediate foundation system to mitigate potential settlement and increase soil boosting capacity. The building is deigned to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Silver certification. Completion is slated for August 2010.[[In-content Ad]]
