Description: Esterly, Schneider & Associates is the architect for this standalone transportation management center for the city of Springfield in conjunction with the Missouri Department of Transportation. Engineers for the project - which is now in the bidding stage - are Anderson Engineering Inc., civil; Bob D. Campbell & Co., structural, and Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing. The facility will house an expanded operations center, a media tour center, emergency war room and supporting office space for engineers and technicians, as well as city offices for traffic engineering and MoDOT staff. Sustainable design features are being incorporated to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Silver certification. It would be the city's first LEED-certified building.
