Description: Butler, Rosenbury & Partners is the architect for retail design and tenant infill for Bryson City, N.C.-based Nantahala Outdoor Center and Five Oaks Development on Nantahala's The Great Outpost retail concept. Trotter & Associates Architects designed the shell. Five Oaks Development is the general contractor and also provided the engineering on this design-build project. Corey Sengstacken of Butler, Rosenbury & Partners is the interior designer. Nantahala is a white water and outdoor family adventure company. This 18,000-square-foot project, slated for completion in the fall, is centered on "base camp," where customers can choose from several outdoor activities in the Smokey Mountain region of North Carolina and Tennessee. The project is designed to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification.
