Description: Bates & Associates and Hufft Projects are the architects for a tourist information center for Destination Springfield Inc., a nonprofit entity formed by the Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau. Engineers for the project have not yet been selected. The facility is being designed for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Silver certification. It will be built using historic reclaimed lumber over glazing to blend the essence of the Ozarks with modern elements. A completion date for this project has not been determined.
