A&E Engineers: Genesis Design Group LLC

Genesis Design Group LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer for the additions to and renovations of First Baptist Church of Nevada. Scott Consulting Engineers PC is the structural engineer, and Dake Wells Architecture Inc. is the architect for the approximately $4 million project. Scheduled for completion in December 2007, the project creates two atrium spaces that will be used in the church’s ministries to youth and young families with children. It includes a new gymnasium, youth worship space, children’s classrooms and nursery. A new children’s entry is identified by a covered drop-off that is protected by a translucent wall of fish, symbolizing the school of children inside and the teaching of Christian values. Daylighting strategies and high-efficiency systems will help maximize the church’s operating expenses.
