Stephanie D. Ireland of Ireland and Associates Inc. is the architect for Ozarks Technical Community College’s early childhood education center, 936 N. Hampton, with a ground-breaking planned for Sept. 11. Engineers for the new 13,400-square-foot center are Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins, mechanical, electrical and plumbing; Packard Engineering, structural; and Deka Engineering LLC, civil. Interior Planning Consultants Inc. is the interior designer, and DeWitt and Associates Inc. is the general contractor. Slated for completion in May 2007, the approximately $1.8 million project will house a new day-care facility for 80 children, with classrooms for OTC’s child development curriculum on the lower level. There also will be a full-size commercial kitchen, an open-air outdoor play area and a covered outdoor play area to be used in inclement weather. A community room in the lower level will be available for events and meetings.
