A&E Architects: Esterly, Schneider & Associates Inc.

Craig A. Schneider, AIA, and Melissa Higbie of Esterly, Schneider & Associates Inc. are the architects for Davis Properties’ proposed office building complex elevation remodel of the former Smitty’s grocery store at 1540 W. Battlefield Road. Engineers, general contractor, estimated cost and a project timeline have yet to be determined. Esterly, Schneider & Associates has designed a modernized façade for the property, which would transform it into a Class-A office building for a single tenant or multiple tenants. The new design adds a random-patterned stone veneer with a complementing blend of large tile accents at the windows. A large, circular glass focal point at the center of the building, and a copper-metal canopy entrance energize the former retail site, which also would have copper-colored columns for an oscillating canopy.
