Creative Ink Architects LLC is the architect for Henry County’s jail expansion in McDonough, Ga. Meridian Structural Works is the structural engineer for the approximately $12 million project, and Tindall Corp. is the general contractor. The project, slated for completion in fall 2007, comprises a 20-year facility master plan for the 20-acre site where the 1980s-era Henry County Jail, sheriff’s department and 911 call center are located. The initial design and construction phase for jail additions will create 400 new direct- and indirect-supervision cells, trusty dormitory housing and new space for medical, support and program needs.
