Jonathan Dodd of Buxton-Kubik-Dodd Inc. is the architect for Mayse Automotive Group’s new dealership in Parsons, Kan. Engineers are LaRose & Schober Engineering Inc., mechanical; Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; and Tri-State Engineering Inc., civil. Joyce Buxton and Rebecca Elliott of Buxton-Kubik-Dodd are the interior designers, and John Odom of the firm handled the 3-D rendering. General contractor LaForge & Budd Construction Co. recently began construction on the 16,000-square-foot dealership for General Motors vehicles. The showroom features stained concrete floors, free-form ceilings and exposed structure. Expanded service and parts departments are integrated into the project. The design features concrete masonry and steel construction with a glass showroom, raised vehicular display plazas and twice the vehicle capacity of the existing sales lot. The project is slated for completion in June.
