Posted online
Registration is under way for the ninth annual Ozark Greenways Adventure race, scheduled for May 31 in Richland. During the event, which begins at 7 a.m., co-ed teams of four will compete in a multisport endurance race that could last between eight and 14 hours.

According to a news release, all of the race proceeds will go to Ozark Greenways to further development of Springfield’s network of public greenway trails.

Registration is $105 per person through April 30; after that, the fee increases to $130.

Participants will run, ride mountain bikes, canoe, complete orienteering

tasks and compete in mystery tests, and specific distances and the itinerary for the race are kept secret until race day. Registration is limited to 100 teams of four contestants.

In the past, the race has attracted competitors from as far away as California, Montana, New Hampshire and Florida, the release said.
