ACA signups down 500,000 from last year

The number of people who signed up for the Affordable Care Act dropped by 500,000 from last year.

Roughly 83 percent of those who selected a plan had premiums reduced by tax credits. On average, they only saw their premiums tick up by $1.

The 4 percent drop in signups puts the total at 12.2 million people enrolled.
