Abercrombie's sales fall for 13th straight quarter

Teen apparel retailer Abercrombie & Fitch's sales fell for the 13th straight quarter as customer traffic to its stores dropped, mainly in markets outside the United States.

Revenue dropped 3.4 percent to $685.5 million in the first quarter, below analysts' average prediction of $710.3 million. Same-store sales at international locations declined 7 percent.

The company's net loss was $39.6 million, an improvement from a loss of $63.2 million a year earlier.
