Abercrombie & Fitch in talks with buyers

Abercrombie & Fitch confirmed it's in preliminary discussions with several interested buyers.

"There can be no assurance these discussions will lead to a definitive agreement or that a transaction will be consummated," company officials said in a statement Wednesday.

Shares of the teen retailer jumped on Wednesday after reports surfaced of a potential takeover.
