ABC suspends 'The View' host Whoopi Goldberg for Holocaust remarks

Posted online

ABC News suspended "The View" host Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks over comments she made about the Holocaust.

On the show Monday, Goldberg said the Holocaust was "not about race" during a discussion on the banning of graphic novel "Maus."

Goldberg since has apologized.

"I said the Holocaust wasn't about race and was instead about man's inhumanity to man," she said Tuesday on the show. "But it is indeed about race because Hitler and the Nazis considered Jews to be an inferior race."
