AB InBev expects job cuts after SABMiller takeover

Anheuser-Busch InBev expects to slash roughly 3 percent of its combined workforce when it completes its acquisition of SABMiller.

That accounts to around 5,500 jobs.

AB InBev still requires backing from SABMiller shareholders for its $103.6 billion takeover. The shareholders are scheduled to vote at a Sept. 28 meeting.
