Aaron joined the SBJ staff in October of 2004, immediately assuming responsibility for editorial page layout and photography. Aaron takes some pride in the fact that he has met and photographed hundreds (if not thousands) of people in the local business community. Aaron also frequently exercises his creativity and artistic talent with original illustrations created exclusively for the pages of Springfield Business Journal.

Aaron holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drury University with honors in design arts and visual communication. He also completed a program of study in visual arts at Missouri Fine Arts Academy.

Aaron claims the best part about his job is the opportunity he has been given to dabble in a lifelong passion - illustration. He said, "Sometimes a photo is not the best way to depict a certain story, so it's up to me to visualize and illustrate the abstract concepts of business and economics - not always the easiest thing to do!"
