A US bank unionizes for 1st time in 40 years

Employees of California-based Beneficial State Bank have become the first to unionize in 40 years.

Around 100 Beneficial workers ratified a contract with management late last month. They agreed to unionize last year.

At U.S. banks, fewer than 1% of workers are unionized.
