A tell-all born from Goldman gossip

Making snarky comments about your employer could get you bounced out the door. Or, it could get you a book deal.
 
A parody Twitter account with more than 600,000 followers became so popular for tweeting caustic comments allegedly made by high-powered Wall Street executives when they thought no one was listening. The account, @GSElevator, alleges the comments were made by Goldman Sachs execs while they were riding in the company elevator.
 
The Twitter account has caught the attention of publisher Touchstone, a division of Simon & Schuster, which is releasing “Straight to Hell: True Tales of Deviance and Excess in the World of Investment Banking” in October. The publisher knows the real name of the author but plans to keep his identity secret.
