“Harry Potter” fans soon will have a reason to dress in robes, wear round glasses and wave wands in celebration of a new book release.
Many may already know “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” is a play set to debut in London in late July – the day before Harry Potter’s birthday – but yesterday, series author J.K. Rowling announced the script of the play would be released in book form at 12:01 a.m. on July 31.
The play was written by English playwright Jack Thorne, who wrote the script based on an original new story Rowling wrote with Thorne and theater director John Tiffany that was never released in book form and is set 19 years after the end of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.”
