A New Era for Mortgage Lending Begins in Springfield and Branson

Posted online

Table Rock Community Bank (TRCB) recently announced the launch of its new Mortgage Division. President of Mortgage Banking James Coffer says the bank now serves borrowers in Springfield, with Branson soon to follow.

Coffer has spearheaded the expansion of mortgage lending since joining the bank in February 2025. TRCB has been serving families, businesses and investors in Greene, Stone and Taney counties since 1993. Customers enjoy personalized banking and lending at branches in Springfield, Branson, Hollister, Forsyth, Kimberling City, Branson West and Crane.

The new Mortgage Division builds on that legacy by combining an experienced team with cutting-edge software. Today’s borrowers need the flexibility to apply for mortgages online, in person or a combination of both, and TRCB has the talent and technology to deliver.

A Growing Team
In addition to Coffer, TRCB recently welcomed two outstanding mortgage professionals with in-depth knowledge. Loan officer Paul Eckert brings 12 years of experience to his new role while loan processor and closer Brooke Black has worked in the Mortgage industry for 25 years. “Launching a new mortgage division with this amazing team is an exciting expansion for TRCB” says Charles Hachtel CEO.

Evolving Mortgage Needs
The Lake market near Branson has witnessed strong demand for second homes, condominiums and investment properties. Coffer notes a growing interest in debt-service coverage ratio (DSCR) loans among investors looking to turn a profit on rental properties.
He expects more growth in this area over the next one to five years. On the residential side, more first-time buyers are choosing conventional mortgages over FHA loans.

A Community-Centered Culture
Coffer credits the “tremendous energy and excitement across the entire team” for making TRCB a great place to work. From tellers to corporate accounts, everyone creates a positive atmosphere for customers and colleagues.
That generous spirit extends to the community. The bank provides employees with service hours to volunteer at local nonprofits.

TRCB supports food programs with local churches and gives back to public schools, recognizing and supporting local educators through our Teacher of the Month program. As an affiliate member of the Tri-Lakes Board of REALTORS®, the bank provides educational programs and gains insights into market trends. TRCB is active in our local Chambers.
