Salvation Army Majors Norman and Claire Grainger, center, and Robin Gardner, director of thrift stores, celebrate the re-opening of the Salvation Army Super Store, 1737 S. Campbell Ave., on March 30. The organization just completed a major renovation of the store, increasing its floor space to 18,000 square feet from its previous 12,000 square feet. The renovation also included remodeling the warehouse and dock area and the showroom.

Below, Claire Grainger shows the progression of the renovation through a series of photographs taken during the process. Salvation Army Thrift Stores offer donated items at low cost for families on fixed or modest income.
