An eighth noose has been found at the construction site of an Amazon fulfillment center in Windsor, Connecticut.
Local NAACP officials and town leaders said Amazon and law enforcement authorities did not take the proper precautions before workers returned earlier this week. The site previously had been shut down over the weekend for cameras and other safety precautions to be installed.
"We will continue to work with all levels of law enforcement as well as our development partners to hold the perpetrators accountable and ensure that all members of our community feel valued, respected and safe," an Amazon spokesperson said.
