800,000 using HealthCare.gov sent incorrect tax data

Incorrect tax information was sent to approximately 800,000 people who purchased health insurance coverage through HealthCare.gov, the New York Times reports.
 
Since the information is used to figure taxes, people were advised to not file their taxes until the corrected information is sent out in the first week of March.
 
Officials do not know why the error occurred, the report states.
