Tokyo-based Seven & i has received a buyout offer for its 7-Eleven convenience store chain.
Canada's Alimentation Couche-Tard, the parent company of Circle K, submitted the offer.
7-Eleven has 84,000 stores in 19 countries. Alimentation Couche-Tard operates around 16,700 stores in 31 countries.
