6 states reach $700M settlement with Reckitt Benckiser

New York and five other states reached a $700 million settlement deal with Reckitt Benckiser.

The deal is part of a $1.4 billion settlement reached in July over state and federal claims that the company's former pharmaceuticals business Indivior illegally boosted sales of opioid addiction treatment Suboxone via improper marketing. Indivior has since been spun out.

British drugmaker Indivior also faces U.S. criminal charges.
