At least six people were killed in a mass shooting during a July 4 parade in suburban Chicago on Monday.
At least 30 others were wounded as a gunman on a rooftop opened fire.
The suburban city of Highland Park has long drawn the rich and sometimes famous, including basketball star Michael Jordan, who lived in the city for years while playing with the Chicago Bulls.
